Default What are teens (12-17) playing these days or which games would they enjoy?

For a project I'll be working on activities with adolescents and gaming is one of the main (budgeted) activities. And I just don't know.. What are teens up to these days? I know they play Minecraft and Animal Crossing: New Horizons on their Switch and PUGB on their phones? What else?

I'm also looking for games that have couch co-op and a cooperative element to them. I have a lot of ideas but would like advice from third party

As far as shooters I would say Fortnite, Warzone and Valorant. Honorable mentions are Minecraft, Rust, League Of Legends, Roblox

Terraria is a fairly large co-op game that is kind of like Minecraft. Couch co-op is fairly hard to find nowadays, but I think Viscera Cleanup can have two players where you go around cleaning up people's messes. A bit of a niche game, but it was pretty big a year or two ago.

Stardew Valley and Overcooked are also more casual coop games, with Stardew being a bit like Animal Crossing from what I understand.

Minecraft, roblox, and fortnite are really big with younger kids. Apex and Call of duty with the older side of your range.

some other Co-op or multiplayers is Falls Guys, Golf with Friends, Pummel Party, Mario Party, Smash Bros -- Those are just a few off the top of my head of games what I think Teens would pay. But the guys above had great games!

But also remember that - you have Among Us still for all ages (recommended for 13+ but still)
