Lead guided runs through dungeons (both open world and instanced) at least once every two weeks,
taking time to ensure that squad members learn the mechanics behind the encounters
and how their role (tank, healer, dps) fits into the encounter.
Invasions:
While invasions are within the scope of the Pathfinders group, specifics about how AOD will operate within them will follow the initial release of this announcement. This post will be updated once we have finalized details about how we will operate within these activities.
Training:
Pathfinders will create and update guides for team composition, encounter tips/tricks, positioning for each dungeon in the game.
Each pathfinder will be expected to specialize in a particular role, tank/support/dps, but should also be capable of filling other roles as needed (if at a diminished effectiveness).
Pathfinder CoC requirements:
- Pathfinders must uphold the AOD CoC in addition to these added requirements for being a Pathfinder.
- Pathfinders will be humble and professional, promote teamwork and focus, and will triumph or fail humbly, tantrums will not be welcomed. Pathfinders must put the needs of the squad first, and lead at least one dungeon run every two weeks.
- Pathfinders will be a limited group of AOD members, from the New World division.
- To join the Pathfinders a member must have reached the rank of Cdt or above, if the number of available Pathfinders is limited during an organized dungeon run, members Cdt and above will assist Pathfinders in leading the groups through the dungeons.
- Pathfinders are not an elite group, but rather an asset to assist other members in learning the intricacies of the multiple dungeons throughout the game and how best to operate within their chosen roles.
- Pathfinders must reflect the values of AOD, therefore we should assist players both within and outside of AOD.
- Pathfinders should continue to hone their knowledge of game mechanics and how the variety of weapons interact both in the PVE and PVP portions of the game.
- Pathfinders should lead their groups by example, demonstrating the recommended methods for the different fights in the game and how they vary based on someone's particular loadout.
- Pathfinders must remember that this is a game and we are here to have fun. If you are not exemplifying the core values of a Pathfinder, and those of AOD, your time as a Pathfinder will be short.
- Pathfinders, while expected to lead dungeon runs regularly, are also free to request LOAs freely to reduce game burnout. You can freely assist other Pathfinders with dungeon runs and not be expected to lead the attempt.
Events:
Weekly dungeon runs will be organized in advance, pathfinders are expected to sign-up and lead at least one run every two weeks, and squads should contain no more than two pathfinders for open world dungeons and no more than three for instanced dungeons (those requiring a tuning orb to enter).
