Teamspeak Etiquette and You.
As excitement builds to launch, I'd like to take a moment to ask that as we all "geek out" on this new, shiny game,
we step back and remember there's going to be a lot of traffic throughout the TeamSpeak channels as people come together to explore.
A lot of the following should be second nature to everyone, but I want to make sure that everyone has a great experience once the game goes live.
The very first thing I want to ask is that when entering and leaving a channel, please say hi and bye.
Whether you are coming online to hang out, or heading into a channel to game with friends, stop first and say a quick word to the people in the lobby
- it goes a long way to foster the community we are trying to build and maintain here in AOD.
For general chat about the game, other games, the daily events, utilize the New World main lobby, or:
If you are looking for a certain game aspect, like Arena or Expeditions, use the appropriate channel.
Once you have your group formed, move into one of the Adventure channels below.
If you see a full channel, don't just jump in and start talking about the basketball game or that killer shot you made in PUBG,
STOP, and LISTEN!
You might have just come in during an ongoing conversation, raid, or combat situation, and comms are VERY important at those times.
The above should also apply to a channel that just has 3, or 2 people in it as those people could be running a small combat mission.
And also be mindful of the streaming channel.
ALWAYS ASSUME that ANYONE in this channel is streaming.
There's SO much we know now, but SO much more we don't know.
So while we are all learning and having fun, remember to respect each other at the same time.
Final Piece: There are no soundboards to be used in this division. This is non-negotiable.
