Zombie OutBreak Tournament
March 20th at 3pm EST

Welcome to the shit show operators. I wish I could bring you a mission full of sunshine and rainbows but that isn't the case. We have lost contact with our other squads sent out for this spec op and we need to send you, the best of the best. Now in terms of intel, we don't have much to go on. We were left in the dark and radio coms are down for anyone in those areas. But we need to find out what the hell is going on over there. We have heard rumors that there is some real freaky stuff out there that is not your typical zombie. Yes, you heard that right, zombie. This ain't the movies anymore, it is real. We need to make sure you are able to bring back any and all intel you can, including what happened to our missing squads. So gear up, get in, survive, and most importantly, call for an extract and get the hell out of there.

Here is what we have been able to dig up for intel.

OPERATION: THRESHOLD

Omega Group has been one step ahead in the hunt for Aethrium and have found piles in mass at the following locations:

Die Maschine
Firebase Z

A new location for the largest outbreak zone, Codename: [REDACTED] is now under surveillance and manned missions have officially begun. 12 squads have went into various zones, 3 were able to call for extract but were not at the meetup point. The locations are as follows

Omega Group has somehow found these locations are starting to assemble teams to explore these zones. We must double our efforts in order to pull ahead in this race to bring a victorious end to the Cold War. The final key is somewhere in the Ural Mountains. But the exact location is unknown at this time.

Current objectives to complete at each location:

Operation Alpha: Defend
Find an intact study subject and use the supplied [REDACTED] machine to start uploading samples into our database. We believe this will attract other forces to try and reclaim the sample so it must be defended at all costs. Recommended CQC tactics and weapons

Operation Delta: Escort
We have a rover that the science and research division delivered to these sites but were overrun and killed. We need that rover up and operational. It is equipped with [REDACTED] scanners specifically designed to look for open dimensional portals and enter them to collect as much data possible. Protect and escort the rover. Recommended tight 360 degree protection circle around the rover with medium range engagements.

Operations Indigo: Retrieve
There are 2 special canisters of raw Aetherium Crystals that need to be collected. These crystals are formed using [REDACTED] technology and may have side affects that include: [REDACTED], low stamina/slow body movements, [REDACTED], vision blurriness, and nausea. Bring the cannisters to the rocket pod and launch them to extract them out of the zone. The on board guidance system will bring them back to base located at [REDACTED]. If you find yourself overrun, you can use the canister device to emit a small blast to give some breathing room, but this will be limited use.

Operation Tango: Eliminate
There are some HVT (High Value Targets) that can be found. These are not an ordinary zombie. We believe that they have started to being more sentient and form a connection from the test subject used. They are to be believed to have extra equipment, armor, weaponry, or highly radioactive nuclear properties at their disposal. Recommended hitting them hard and fast from a distance if possible.

Operation Whiskey: Holdout
We have reasons to believe that there are massive deposits of unstable Aether Crystal and it must be destroyed. There are unconfirmed reports of people interacting with it being teleported to an unknown location and being overrun. You must hold out as long as you can. Recommended CQC and keeping any entrances blockaded from being overrun.

Well that is all we have for intel and I will be honest, while it does give us some decent information, I am just as confused as you are. With all of that said, I wish you all luck and we'll see you when you get back.... if.... you get back.




This event will be a 2 hour long Outbreak Event! You will be scored on multiple factors listed below:

Each round survived will give you 10 points compounding
[Example: 3 rounds survived is 60 points.... round 1 = 10 points + round 2 = 20 points + round 3 = 30 points]


You will be able to use any weapons/loudouts you want. The time limit is there to provide variety in strategy. You are able to play as many matches as you want in the 2 hour time limit. Do you exfil after 3 rounds and try for another to squeeze out multiple rounds? Or do you go for the big leagues and try to do it one solid shot in an all or nothing game to make your mark? You will need to make that choice on the fly as your kills go up and time ticks down.

What do the winners get? Well apart from the ultimate zombie slaying bragging rights, you will get to rename the Outbreak Zombies TeamSpeak channel to your choosing and your names and stats will be immortalized in the channel description. At least until the next one where you will be fighting the others at a chance to keep that channel!
