Default What's Your Guys Thoughts On Cyberpunk? (No Spoilers Please)

Just like the title says, what's your thoughts if you've played Cyberpunk 2077? I'm about 8 hours in and I'm enjoying it. The bugs are funny to me (floating cars, npcs walking through objects and minor stuff is all I've encountered) but there are some issues. Not enough npcs in some areas, npcs in general lacking diversity. Had a few immersion breaking bugs (unable to further a quest because I couldn't loot a certain body, had to reload after some HUD issues) All in all though, I'm really enjoying the game. What's your thoughts?

I like it, but it needs more development. The game feels unfinished and it's buggy. I actually had that same bug of not being able to loot the body too, but I just reloaded an autosave and it worked. I want more rpg elements to be added and the world/npcs to be more interactive in future updates

It's fun, got funny glitches, runs decently well I suppose. The story is decent, can't really complain about it.

It definitely needs more polish but man, I'm having a great time playing it. It feels like Fallout New Vegas levels of writing but plays like an amalgamation of a bunch of different games. If they can iron out the problems, I don't see how the game isn't going to win awards. Maybe I'm just being biased though.

True. But I feel CDPR will iron out a lot. A lot of people are disappointed with a lot but I went in without high exceptions and enjoy the game. I realize CDPR dropped the ball but the game itself isn't bad, bugs aside. Just wasn't what was promised.

It's a good but not great action-adventure game (could have been great, but it needs a fuckton of polish).

It has a very nice story. Has been sometime where a story (or at least parts of it) made me pause the game and think on it and had actual emotional impact on me.

One big downside is that, if you are intending to play it as an RPG, is the fact that it is not an RPG.

Almost all aspects of it that claims to be an RPG is illusory.

Long story short, a game where you will have fun, but don't expect to play an RPG, just a good game with some rpg-like elements.

I think my only real complaint with it is that your choices ultimately don’t matter. Started the game as a Corpo, and beyond the oddball comment here and there, you’d never have known I was Corpo. The game is very hard leaning into your character being a Nomad or whatever.

Like, you get dumped from being a Corpo and your character is just like “eh, alright. Way she goes” instead of actually trying to get back into that lifestyle. It’s weird.

Also the fashionscape in the game is garbage. You either find outfits you like, but have shit stats, or you wear disgusting clothes that have good stats.

@MasterButters I hear you. The game is in such a middle ground despite actually being fun (at least for me)

I really love the dialogue though. Despite it not really going in depth with player choices effecting actual story. My opinion has changed a little since completing the game. Though, I'm a sucker for good dialogue and story to begin with.

@bleda I agree. The game isn't Baldurs Gate or Kotor (I haven't beaten Baldurs Gate but gotten pretty far). But that's a great description. A good game with rpg like elements.

And I forgot the forums existed. Sorry for the late response lol

I bought it, but have only played 3 hours. I will wait till it's patched better before playing on (I experienced a bug where my gun wasn't shooting or playing the sound, despite the shooting animation playing, I couldn't shoot anything, even point blank.) It looks promising if it can be patched up better, but it is a SEVERLY under-optimised game! I am getting around 30 fps on it, I get 30-45 fps for instance, on crysis remastered MAXED out with raytracing, and I can't get raytracing on cyberpunk on my gtx card! Mine is a modest system, but on a 3700x with 16gb and my gtx 1070 I expected MUCH better! And crowds are too thin, AI too sucky.

RIGHT ON! I find it weird how that works, and the "cool" stat! How does being "cool" help you beyond talking irl? And I tried the nomad or whatever, 30 mins in cg scene, now whatever...I was hoping for the staring classes to at least give unique perks, at least for dialog!
