Today marks the 17th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center,Pentagon,and the crash in Shanksville,Pa. This act,for whatever reason,was committed by cowards. This is evidenced,amongst other things,by the intentionaly crashing of the last plane designated to hit another target,in Pa. When the passengers fought back,the terrorists aboard crashed the plane early.

These people got up and went to work,to the airport,merely seeking to go about their lives,and rather,had them ended in the hope of a religious war being inspired by a madmans psychotic version of life. They didn't deserve their fates,and more still die yearly from responding to the sites and inhaling toxins and chemicals which produced horrific results,no less fatal.

It is key to note that hate spawned this. The reason is irrelevant at this point. Hate caused this,not love. Not acceptance. Not honor. Hate. Our world has only become more divisive since, with terrorist attacks occuring near weekly around the world. The human species,resilient as ever,refuses to bow to these zealots,and continues to thrive,proving that love,does concur hate.

I ask that You remember the victims of 9/11/01,and all terrorist attacks. Those whose lives were ended or changed forever by the spectre of hate so dark it would sacrifice it's own life merely to further a cause many cannot fathom nor breed understanding for. Take a moment,and be thankful that You and Yours have not had Your lives touched thusly,and if You have,My condolences,My honor,My dignity,My faith to You in Your healing and forgiveness,that hate doesn't take over Your life and leave You a shell of the person You once were.

Bring love to the world,not hate. Care,not indifference. Acceptance,not turning a blind eye to that which is different,but no less human,than Yourself. Only in this,can We truly defeat hate,and bring a peace to the world long sought,and so deeply needed.

Amen brother. I was but not 11 months old when this tragedy happened on our blessed soil. May all those souls who perished on that day find everlasting peace.

We want to remember this sad day in the US but we also do not want to lose members from else where making potentially stupid comments.

HOWEVER, it is true that 2996 lives were ended and more than 6000 were injured.
