Harrier gr.1 regret!

This plane is useless. Even on sale I regret buying it. I freely admit air RB is not my real skill set but this plane can't do anything. With 11k SL repair costs I have definitely LOST SL on this POS since flying it. I have tried the climb high then come down tactic, but most planes are too fast and out run the SRAAMs. I am trying to ground pound with SNEB and I get missiled almost immediately. I have tried just getting in the furball and that doesn't work.

I play a lot of bomber and attack type planes and this one falls right in to that. In ARB I will take the 3 1000 pounders and go for a base. Keep low, trimming the trees, and drop your bombs.

Then, stay low. Make them come down to you if they want to go for it. Learn to use the thrust vectoring to make it turn. If there aren't any takers down low, start looking for easy targets to shoot in the belly or get out of there and go reload the bombs.

You just have to play to it's strengths.

Okay, honestly that is the one thing I have not tried. I didn't think the 3k lb bomb load was really worth dropping on a base but with premium benefits I guess it's better than no score at all.

It is used mostly to interrupt furballs with SRAMs. If they don't pay attention to you, you can get a sneaky SRAM from weird angle. They can lock and track a target from above also. But flares are your nemesis... Even a phantom with a full afterburner will evade your missille by dropping a single flare and just flying straight.

That video is a year old. A lot has changed for the Harrier. BR up to 10.0, and not top dog anymore.
