I need a new Chair, any recommendations?

current chair is a ottoman and recliner sans ottoman, form the good will. The cushions are starting to give out and the recliner friction lock is getting loose. I want to get a new chair but online chair buying is going to be hit and miss and at the prices i'd rather not guess what would feel good...
any one know any good chairs that are worth checking?

For how long do you play? like 5 hours or so?
If you sit those long times i dont like the racer chairs at all.. Buy a office chair thats meant for those long time sittings!

I've gamed since many of You were but a gleam in Yer Pops eyes. I have been through many,many chairs and the top 3 things to look for are-

1-is it an OFFICE chair?They're meant for sitting,swiveling,and being "Flopped' into more-so than most. Generally better built and heavier construction
2-Does it have wheels or stand-feet?This is important if You have a tile or wood floor. Wheels suck for those. Sneeze and ur ass is in the hallway.
3-Arms. Yep..Not all office chairs have arms. I find them very important as I base My hand position on arm comfort,lack of impingement on wrist *leads to carpal tunnel syndrome* and style. for 10yrs I've bought all My office chairs from Wal-Mart. Avg cost-100$ shipping included.

long play sessions are to be expected, but mainly i don't sit longer than 5 hours on a week day with work/school/other reasons pulling me off the computer for usually a hour or more, but I figured a "gamer" chair might not be all that cracked up as they make it look,
rooms got carpet so no worry about wheels, arms are a must, I've leaned enough on my current chairs arms to wear the cushions to the wood,
the desk I use is rather tall (old steelcase from a military base) so a adjustable chair is probably necessary.
but it's good to hear that normal office chairs are perferable.

I have used the wal-mart office chair, just like rubble mentioned, for about 6 months now. It may be a super cheap ass chair, compared to those "gaming" chairs, but up until last month, I was playing for an average of like 6 to 8 hours a day for about 4 months, and it didnt give me any trouble. However, I havent tried those gaming chairs dita posted, so i wouldnt be able to tell you if they are worth it or not, but this chair i have has everything you asked in your post above, and it seems that it will last me for a quite a while, so is not that bad of a deal. Hope this helps

I got one of the Amazon Basics high back office chairs. It was pretty affordable, maybe $70, but it's comfortable. I could play all day if I didn't have other obligations.

I would pay good $ for a old steelcase US Desk...weight/1000lbs construction/steel-wood-'Murican sweat expected lifetime-Yes....
