Wow so many old titles I remember and love as well! So glad to see that everyone here has a good taste in games.
I’d have to say my all time favorite game would be Donkey Kong 64. I grew up on that game. Later systems would bring Halo and PC games, but DK64 will always remain my favorite.
Although if you’re only mentioning PC games, I’d have to say my favorite old PC games would be Command and Conquer Generals, Neverwinter Nights, and Lords of the Realm 2.
baldur's gate 2
Return to Castle Wolfenstein
I would have to say X3 Terran Conflict, i have a disgusting amount of hours put into that game, and i consider it the best 4X game ever made, Egosofts crown jewel.
Anyone who's into 4X games and haven't played X3 Terran Conflict... they're missing the Davinci of this genre of games.
Gran Prix Legends will be 20 yrs old in a few mths time still begin modded still cars n tracks being added
one guy has spent over 10yrs making the full Isle Of Man track cannot wait for its release it is a masterpiece
Where to even begin?
As a kid I was super enamored with Battle Chess on our Apple IIGs... watching those things move around and beat on each other (in color) was cool!
I have to look back to the 90s for a lot of my first major loves though like the original Half Life, Command and Conquer, Descent, Descent Freespace/Freespace 2, Mario 64, and some others I'm no doubt forgetting.
Somewhere towards my college years games like Quake, Unreal Tournament and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory were big ones for me.
Not favorites, but I'll never forget what going from a 386 to a Pentium was like for Doom, or how a bunch of horrendously aliased lines and shapes could produce a flight simulator on our Apple IIGs.
