PATHFINDERS: Weekly PVE Operations

Hello AOD! I am pleased to bring you a series of lore-themed weekly PVE operations for us to do together. Each week, I will post a new operation to this thread, explaining the region we'll be playing in and the points of interest we will be going to. I hope this will provide us with something more fun to do than the endgame gear/expertise/trade skill grind, and give us a way to pick up where the main story quest left off. We will also have the opportunity to earn large amounts of XP for leveling our characters and/or weapons, territory standing, and crafting reagents and other loot from chests and any resources that can be gathered.


For now, the Pathfinder ops will be every Thursday evening at 7 pm Eastern. Some won't take very long, maybe 30 minutes, others may take up to two hours, depending on our progress. And there will be at least one operation per series for low-level players and one for mid-level players. Please feel free to leave any feedback/comments/suggestions/questions in this thread.

The first of these weekly operations will be on January 6. We will start out this series of ops with a campaign targeting the main Corrupted forces.

Week 1: Everfall & Brightwood (Recommended level 15+ in Everfall, 30+ in Brightwood)

First Light, Windward, and Monarch’s Bluffs all have negligible Corrupted presences, except for portals. But the Corrupted operate mines in Everfall and also nearby in Brightwood, making them the logical first step in AOD’s campaign against them.

We will start in the Everfall settlement, then clear the small Corrupted farm at Bradbury Fields before we move up to Canary mines, then on to Ebonrock Cavern and Quarry. From there, we’ll move into Brightwood to take out the Corrupted-controlled Shervey’s Lumbermill, then on to Corrupted camps at Reida’s Burrow and The Iron Fields and Corlew’s Mine.

Hello, here is next week's operation, which will take place in Great Cleave on Thursday, January 13 at 7 pm Eastern:

Week 2: Great Cleave (Recommended level 40+)

The Corrupted have a large military presence in Great Cleave, which AOD must annihilate to make our forces’ entrance to their strongholds in Shattered Mountain feasible.

We will begin in the ruins of Fort Alazar via the Brightwood Fast Travel Shrine nearby. We will then march north into Cleave’s Malice and clear the Corrupted presence there. We’ll continue north to Slumbering Echoes, then take the road northeast and take the Corrupted forts at Braided Borough, Breakaway Fort, and Acedia Bastion. From there we will destroy the Corrupted checkpoint on the bridge of Tempest Lane, then jump down to destroy Sunderfort and clear Defiler Excavation. We will then take the road north and clear out the remaining forts at Hollowing Fort, Nullcavity, and the camps at Sever Castra and Capitulum Prime. If we have sufficient strength, we can then enter and clear the elite area at Svikin’s Stand.

Hello everyone, this is tomorrow's operation. See you at 7 pm!

Week 3: Mourningdale (Recommended level 50+)
The Corrupted have an extensive presence in Mourningdale, controlling the entire northern portion of the territory. These holdings include farms from which they feed their armies, and mines which supply their weaponsmiths with ore. AOD will deny these sites to the enemy.

We’ll start out at the Fast Travel Shrine in the northwest and proceed to clear the encampments at Highpass, Shambala, and Ceremony. We’ll then clear the Foulroot mines and seize the ores the Corrupted are mining there. After that, we’ll proceed east to Cragview and the farm at Hibbotsfield, where we can loot the corn they’re growing there. We’ll then clear the Corrupted monolith at Grus and finish by clearing New Balefire. We won’t proceed into the elite zone of Scorpius since the terrain there is unfavorable to large groups.

Week 4: Weaver’s Fen & Edengrove (Recommended level 50+)

AOD will be striking at another step of the Corrupted’s ability to wage war: Their extensive mining operation in southern Edengrove, and the nearby field kitchens in Weaver’s Fen that keep the miners fed.

We’ll start off at the fast travel shrine in the northern part of Weaver’s Fen, then head west to raid Navarro’s Kitchen. After we secure the food supplies, we will turn north and cross the border into Edengrove, avoiding patrols of Angry Earth where possible. We will methodically clear Hill Slag Camp, Lower Slag Mine, Upper Slag Mine, and Mouthsting Lumbermill and Rotted Spring Camp. All of the resources the Corrupted are gathering will be seized by AOD members to disrupt their weapon and armor production.

Hello AOD! It is time for the final operation in this campaign against the Corrupted. This one will be long, I expect it will take over an hour.

Week 5: Shattered Mountain (Recommended level 60)

By now, AOD has weakened the Corrupted army substantially. We have interrupted their mining and lumber operations, seized a large part of their food production, and destroyed the forces they staged to the south to block our entry to their stronghold. Next, AOD will destroy the Corrupted garrisons in the area and seize their weaponsmithing and armorsmithing facilities.

We will assemble in Mountainrise Outpost in the eastern part of the territory, and descend to destroy the enemy garrison at Lapsus. We will then proceed west and wipe out the enemy forts of Pullus, Iratus, and Vehemence. We will for the moment bypass Caminus so that we can destroy the garrison at Odium in the northwest and the settlement at Desolate Cliffs to open the Scorched Mines to attack by allied companies. After that, we will head into the Illurmin Drift to interrupt the Corrupted rituals and slay the demonic creatures they have summoned there, to open Myrkguard for attack by other allied forces. If we retain sufficient strength, we will exit Illurmin and move south to clear and seize their smelting and smithing operations in Caminus.

After this, AOD’s campaign against the Corrupted army will be complete and their plans will lie in ruins, their strongholds vulnerable to allied raiding parties, and they will be unable to threaten the settlements of Aeternum.

Hopefully I should hit 60 later this week so will be looking at doing more team oriented stuff!

If you're high 50s I think you'll be fine! I'd recommend staying in the rear with a ranged weapon.
